The management,
the machines,
the mastery of total job control.
Once, all general contractors had the workers and equipment on hand to
tackle any job. Today, most general contractors hire crews and machines
on an as-needed basis. At D.M. Bernard, we've made a management
decision to employ a full time staff and have a full complement of
equipment all our own. Some would argue that doing business this way in
the twenty -first century is inefficient and costly. We couldn't
disagree more. Because our people work for us, we know what their
capabilities are. You're never going to get someone on your project of
questionable talent - or character - for that matter. That does away
with mistakes and enhances workflow, saving time and money. And in
those infrequent instances where we have to go outside for help, the
people we subcontract are known entities and part of the D.M.
Bernardi "family".
Because we own and dutifully maintain our equipment, the scheduling
problems and equipment failures that can delay jobs are eliminated.
Control is essential to timely project completion and adherence to
budget. When your workers are on your payroll - and your name is on
your equipment - you have a command of the job that is impossible any
other way.
| D.M. Bernardi has always been team oriented. Architects can count on us
to work closely with them to see that their vision becomes reality.
Nowhere else can the many construction skills necessary to take designs
from the planning stage to completion be found in such abundance. |
